Delete your account

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, in a few taps. Nothing to sign in to here: a 6signals account is anonymous — there is no email address or password attached to it — so this website cannot show you your account, and cannot delete it for you. The app can, and so can an email.
In the app
- Open 6signals. If you are on a ride, leave it first.
- On the lobby screen, tap Account.
- Tick I understand this cannot be undone.
- Tap Delete my account.
Deleting removes this phone's account, every ride membership and display name, the saved profile, and this phone's broker access with its last position and status. Rides you created stay, for the riders still on them. Crash reports already sent are not deleted by this and expire on their own.
When you continue, the app sets the phone up again with a brand-new account. The old one is gone, and nothing carries over.
Without the app
Write to robertas@fragile.digital quoting the account identifier shown at the top of the app's Account screen. That identifier is the only thing that ties records to you, and it is how we find them. Expect a reply within thirty days, and the same deletion as above.
If the app is already uninstalled there is no identifier to quote, and nothing on our side names you either — no email, no phone number, no device. Write anyway with what you remember about a ride you were on and we will work out together what can honestly be identified as yours, and say so plainly if nothing can.
What is deleted
The account, its memberships, its display names and its profile are deleted, not hidden, and so is this phone's broker login. Google removes the account from Firebase's backup systems within 180 days.
What is kept afterwards
- Rides you created stay, for the riders still on them. Each carries your old account identifier as its creator and its join code. If you created it with a planned route, it also carries that route's start and destination (names and coordinates), distance and time.
- Planned route files — the line and turn instructions of a route a ride was created with — stay in Firebase Storage with the ride. The app cannot delete them. Write to the address above with your account identifier or the ride's join code and they are removed, along with the rides you created.
- The broker's retained markers — your last position and status — are cleared by the deletion, and would expire on their own anyway: about thirty seconds for a position, about an hour for a status.
- Crash reports already sent are not deleted by this. Each one carries the account identifier, and Firebase deletes them 90 days after they were sent.
- Analytics events already sent are not deleted by this. Each one carries the account identifier, and Google deletes them two months after they were sent.
- Service logs — the routing service's request logs and the logs of the function that issued your broker login — are deleted after 30 days.
- The route copy on your phone stays until you uninstall the app.
